Many People were confused which is Better with Stand Alone Machine OR PC Base. 

Hope the following will help to let you understand more before deciding.

PC BASE DVR SYSTEM

1. RECORD / PLAYBACK ALL VIDEO LIVE!! - 25FPS EACH CHANNEL!!  while Stand Alone DVR playback at 1.56FPS ~ 6.25FPS
2. UPGRADEABLE LATER - INCREASE CAMERA/PORTS, DVR CARDS, SOFTWARE / VERSIONS, REPLACE MORE ADVANCE CPU, SPEED, HDD CAPACITY,..... while Stand Alone DVR are fixed,  non-upgradeable, non-repairable once faulty (only replace)
3. LAN/WAN READY, able to view thru Local Area network or Modem/Broadband with Built-In assigned Dynamic/Static IP with Remote Client Software or Direct IE / Web Browser. while only Professional Stand Alone machine can do it.
4. PC useable for other purposes like Email, Surfing Internet, Data storage, Project like Words, Excel, .... while Stand Alone machine only for CCTV. 
5. DVR card/program replaceable when surge.. while Stand Alone machine is gone.
6. Need Expert advise on Hardware (Mainboard/Ram/Display card/HDD/...) matching to produce smooth/trouble free system. In-experience will cause endless trouble (hang/no video/.....) Note: It is important Yourself / People around You / Your Company Staff need to have basic IT knowledge. Support from Supplier also important for backup, advise, technical support.......We provide Configuration and Setup / Technical Support  FREE!! STAND ALONE DVR SYSTEM

1. USER FRIENDLY especially for Non-IT People !!  while PC DVR could have problem if configuration is out.
2. NO VIRUS (remote view) ATTACK!! while PC DVR need Firewall and Anti Virus Update regularly.
3. STABLE OPERATION - No "hang" or No Picture while PC DVR need to match Hardware/Software correctly. (We ASSURE no such problem if PC from CHOICECYCLE)
4. SMALL and SLIM while PC DVR usual bigger.
5. GREAT FOR INSTALLERS - No repeat service and "wash" hand. while PC DVR need to follow up and "trouble shoot" when on call.

Note: It is important that Your Supplier able to Upgrade the Stand Alone DVR when new chips available. Example some Stand Alone DVR only read up to 80GB HDD / 120GB HDD. Our new chips that read 200GB/400GB/1000GB had arrived, please bring your machine to CHOICECYCLE for free upgrade!

Most People concern how long can the machine record (example 30 days, 60 days, 90 days,..) but they missed more important point the RESOURCE of the machine (usual 25FPS), CHOICECYCLE 4D/4DU/4DL/16K are 50FPS. They will be shocked when Playback (after record), Stranger/Staff appeared and gone in next second. (1.56FPS/3FPS) Or can't even see the Stranger/Staff if he runs in and out. Angry and Disappointed with the amount they had invested.

Consult the Expert before making your decision! (mainly on your requirement and environment needs, "A" Customer might just need to Monitor his/her Maid/Worker/... what time IN & OUT, 6FPS will be sufficient. "B" Customer might need to have REAL Time monitoring his Cashier/Vehicle/Corridor/....20FPS~25FPS must be require)
